Principal’s Message
Well that was quick. Thanksgiving flew right by us and now Christmas is on us. Those of you with 7th and 8th graders will remember we have exams at the end of the semester for our classes. For those new to Jr. High scheduling - welcome to the end of the semester scramble. Here is the schedule for exams in a couple of weeks.

Tuesday, Dec. 17th –
The first six class periods meet throughout the day beginning at normal time (8:00 am)
7th period exam – 1:54 – 3:15

Wednesday, Dec. 18th –
1st period exam – 8:00 – 9:25
2nd period exam – 9:30 – 10:55
3rd period exam – 12:25 – 1:50
4th period exam – 1:55 – 3:15

No need to stress about any of this. The teachers, with your help, will have our students ready to take these exams. Just be aware we’d like all our students here to take their exams to finish out the semester.

One final note about scheduling. Our high school football team continues to win in the playoffs. They play this Friday, Dec. 6th at the Alamodome in San Antonio against Navarro. We will have an early release from school on Friday. Car riders need to be picked up at 12 pm. Buses will leave the school around 12:20.

From Teresa Gill & Nicole Royal – NJHS Sponsors
During the last week of October, NJHS held a cookie fundraiser. The money we raised will be used to purchase bedding and towels for a transitional homeless shelter in San Marcos. In addition to these items, they are also in need of canned goods and some lightly used clothing items. If you are able to help, we would love for you to send your children to school with these items. NJHS is accepting donations this week thru Monday, December 8. There will be bins inside the front doors. Thank you so much!
