Principal’s Message

Most people love a good comeback story and this past weekend most of the media seemed to be focused on Tiger Woods’ victory at the Masters Golf Tournament.  He’s just the latest example of a comeback and while he may not be the best one, his determination to return to an elite level does have a lesson in it.  Some of our students may have struggled this year but there’s still time to return to a level of effort and commitment to academics that may earn some good results in the grade book.  Most of the final six weeks still remains to bring grades up.  While the media may not trumpet a student’s comeback throughout the land…….parents, grandparents, teachers and coaches would still be proud of that kind of a comeback.

Greg Howard, Principal

From Julana Long, Science Department

The science department is renting out the big lockers for next year.  To rent lockers, students need to go by Mrs. Long’s room and sign up.  Monday, April 15th current 7th graders may begin choosing a locker.  Tuesday, April 16th the current 6th graders may begin choosing as well.  The cost for the 2019-2020 school year is $ 25.00 (cash only please).  The students who rent a big locker are responsible for their own combination lock. The money is divided among the three grade levels, and is used for science consumable lab supplies.

Don't forget to eat your breakfast!

Students who eat breakfast have better reading and math skills, and score higher on standardized tests.

Breakfast also helps students maintain a healthy weight.  When mornings are busy at home,

there are healthy breakfast options at our schools for your kids to enjoy.
