UIL Jr. High Academic Meet Results
Wimberley – 1020 points
Fredericksburg – 764 points
Bandera & Llano – 561 points
We are so proud of our students and their results from this past Saturday. They worked for weeks and weeks on their events and these results showed how hard work really does pay off. It’s been said before, the winning is nice, but the important part is the participation and the understanding of what can be achieved in academic contests. We want our 140 Danforth contestants to continue their participation later in high school and maybe just maybe that will lead to some nice scholarships to the University of their Choice.
Dance the Night Away – Van Halen
Footloose – Kenny Loggins
Boot Scootin Boogie – Brooks & Dunn
It’s that time again and although today’s students probably don’t want to hear that music they’ll be excited to hear whatever is playing at our annual spring dance this Friday night, Feb. 8th. There will be about 425 of our Danforth students who show up on Friday evening and our PTO will need some help turning the cafeteria into a dance party and the concession stand into something worth visiting. They’re always looking for sponsors to monitor students as well. So – if you can help – look at the PTO info later in this Newsletter and sign up.
6th graders only – 5 pm to 6:30 pm
7th/8th graders only – 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm ---- please drop off your 7th/8th graders in the bus lane between 6:30 and 6:45. That will help with congestion in the front of the school as our 6th graders are picked up there after their dance. Pick up for 7th/8th graders will be back out front at 8:15 pm. Thank you for the help .

Many of you have been wonderful and brought great meals in dishes for previous events for our teachers. However, there are a lot of dishes still at the school that have never been picked up by parents. If you are missing a crock pot or some other dish please check by the Jr High office sometime this week.
From Mrs. Stevenson – PTO President UIL was a great success! Thank you for all of your donations of time and items to sell. Dance Friday is coming. Tickets will be on sale during lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There are a few chaperone and decorating spots still available.
