WHS Runners Compete at District Cross Country Meet

The Wimberley HS cross country teams competed at the District 27-4A Meet on Thursday, October 13 at Frederickburg's Oak Crest Park. The varsity girls team finished in sixth place and the boys team was seventh.

Leading the way for the girls team was Madison Anderson, who finished 23rd overall in a time of 13:00.75 over the two-mile course. Other competitors for the Lady Texans were:

The boys team was paced by A.J. Hanle, who finished 14th overall in a time of 18:10.04 on the 5K course. Other Texan runners were:

The Lady Texans also competed in the JV category at the district meet. The girls finished in third place as a team and were led by Katherine Torti, who was fourth overall in a time of 13:29.13. Ava Arellano and Whitlee Leonard also finished in the top-15.
