Two WHS Girls Qualify for Regional Cross Country Meet

Sophomore Madison Anderson (left) and senior Haley Hall (right) qualified for the 4A Region IV Cross Country meet by finishing among the top 10 runners at the District 28-4A Cross Country meet on Thursday, October 14. Anderson finished 8th at the meet in a time of 12 minutes 47 seconds over the two-mile course at Bandera City Park. Hall was 9th in a time 12:48. The Wimberley HS girls' team finished in fifth place overall. Fredericksburg HS was the district meet champion. (Complete results here.) Anderson and Hall will compete at the Regional Meet on October 25 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 10 a.m. The top 10 individuals (who are not already on one of the top three advancing teams) shall qualify to the state meet. The cross country teams are coached by Lacey Lambert.
