Welcome to my page! I'm Jason Giesen and I serve as one of the Ag Science teachers here at WHS. I grew up in Pflugerville, TX back when it was just a one stoplight town. I was active in the FFA serving as an officer, showing sheep, and participating on various CDE and LDE judging teams. I began my college career in the Fall of 1994 at Tarleton State University where I received my BS in Agricultural Education in 1998. During my time at Tarleton I worked for the Texas Department of Agriculture and did so up until 2000. In 2000 I began teaching Horticulture in a prison unit in Bridgeport, TX. I transitioned into public education and began teaching Business at Mineral Wells High School. Life throws you curveballs sometimes and after the passing of my grandfather I found myself back in Central Texas helping run the family construction business. I took a 10 year break from teaching before coming back to the profession I love. After 3 years at San Marcos High School I moved to Wimberley in 2015 to be closer to my 2 daughters who attend Danforth and WHS as well as my wife who also works for the district. I received my Master's in Educational Administration in April 2016.
For the 2022 - 2023 school year I will be teaching the following class:
* Ag Mech and Metal Tech - Section A1 / Section B2
* Ag Structures - Section A2
* Aq Equip Design and Fabrication - Section A3/A4/B3/B4
Conference Period: B2 - 8:00 - 9:30
