MA in Spanish Literature Texas State University BBA in International Business University of Texas-RGV

Mr. Kelly Douglas

This is my 5th year to teach at Wimberley High School and my 7th year of teaching overall. I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you. I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley, located on the southern border of Texas. In 2001, I obtained a degree in International Business at the University of Rio Grande Valley (formerly known as the University of Texas - Pan American). Soon thereafter, I moved to the central Texas area and worked in the logistics and customer service industry. In 2014, I received my master’s degree in Spanish Literature from Texas State University where I taught two sections of Spanish I as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I possess a Texas teaching certificate and taught Spanish I and Spanish II at Leakey High School from 2015 until 2017. In addition to this, from 2016 to 2017, I taught Dual Credit Spanish as an adjunct professor for Southwest Texas Junior College at Leakey High School. I currently teach Spanish I, Special Topics, and ESOL.
