Hello!  My name is Karin Prado, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 16th year teaching high school.  I grew up in El Paso, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from Texas State University in 2003. I am currently working toward a Master's in Educational Leadership in Higher Education Administration from Tarleton State University.

 

I began my teaching career in the Hays Consolidated School District at Lehman High School as a Special Education teacher.

I am starting my 8th  in Wimberley!  This year, I will be facilitating the credit recovery lab and transitioning to Texan Academy.   Go TEXANS!

 

Currently, I live in San Marcos with my husband, Michael, and four boys (Joshua, Luke, and twins Gavin and Nolan). Joshua is beginning his freshman year of college and playing baseball for the EPCC Tejanos! Luke is a 7th grader at JH, and the twins attend JWE.

 

I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, and watching my boys play ball!  I recently took up running and ran my first 10k last year. I am hoping to run another one this year!
