• FFA Wins Area, Shows Strong at State  
    State CDE (Career Development Event) Horse Judging contest, April 27, Texas Tech University in Lubbock 
    Wimberley High School FFA Horse team, freshmen Leah Tate and Madison Barbee, sophomore Celeste Brown and junior Kandyce Young won 4th place in area competition at Texas A&M university and went on to finish 66th out of a field of 1,630 competitiors in the state horse judging competition.

    WHS FFA Students Compete, Smoke Competitors at the Grill
    Texas High School BBQ Championship, May 4, Burnett High School 
    Wimberley High School, FFA BBQ Team, freshmen Guy Massey and Mark Western, "The Smokin' Texans" made final table at the Texas High School BBQ Championship finishing 17th in the "Beans" category and 15th in the "Ribs" category out of 67 teams from all over the state. This is the fourth year for this championship and the 1st year that WFFA has competed in the event. WHS freshmen, Guy Massey, Mark Western and Cole Crow built the pit used for the competition for their Ag Mechanics project.
