Moises Santiago, Chief Financial Officer
Moises Santiago joined Wimberley ISD in May 2019 with more than 12 years of experience in finance, payroll, investment portfolios, budgeting, and personnel management. Moises worked as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District, where he managed a combined budget of $55 million in general operating funds and federal grants. He also oversaw the Transportation and Food Service Departments.
At Wimberley ISD he currently manages a combined operating budget of $35 million and an investment portfolio with a market value of $41.5 million.

The Wimberley Independent School District (WISD) Business Support Service Department is responsible for the management of district funds and fiscal operations. WISD's annual budget is used for salaries, instructional supplies, facilities maintenance and various other expenditures.Business Support Services functions include: Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Budget, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Investments, Payroll, Purchasing, and Risk Management. Transportation, Child Nutrition, Custodial, and Maintenance & Operations also fall under this division.Business Support Services offices are located at the WISD Adminsitration Building. Services include:
• Accounting
• Payroll
• PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System)
Although Wimberley ISD’s fiscal year does not begin until Sept. 1, planning for each year’s budget starts early in the calendar year. After applying the state’s current public education funding formulas, the Business Office develops a budget and determines how the available funding will be used to support the district’s mission.
