New Platform Simplifies Job Application Process

  • Wimberley ISD has implemented a new on-line application system—TalentEd.  This user-friendly system is simpler and faster for the applicant and more streamlined for the Human Resources Department.

    Because of the functionality and networking capability, TalentEd is an ideal platform for school districts. Once an employee has entered their data into the TalentEd platform, the information is available for the applicant if they are applying at another district that is also using the same platform. Applicants will only have to take a moment to tailor the application to the position of interest.

    With this new on-line application system the Fastrack tab in Skyward is no longer active.

    Wimberley ISD is hiring the following positions: Bus Driver Trainees, Bus Drivers, Custodians/Night-shift and Food Service Workers.  

    Bus Drivers, the District is currently seeking qualified Bus Drivers to safely transport the students to and from school.  The Bus Driver position works 175 Days out of the year, a 4 hour minimum and is benefit eligible.  The beginning rate of pay is $15.07/hour, before giving additional pay for prior experience.

    Bus Driver Trainee(s), the District will work with the applicant to obtain a CDL and endorsements to operate a bus, while being paid to learn and also covering some of the expenses involved in the process.  This position only works 175 Days out of the year, a 4 hour minimum (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon).  Beginning pay is:  $13.06/hour, and the position is benefit eligible.

    Bus Monitors, the District is seeking smiling faces to assist the Bus Driver on the routes.  The Bus Monitor will work with the students providing safety and a pleasant environment to all while being transported to and from school.  This position only works 175 Days out of the year, working 4 hours a day (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon).  Beginning pay is: $10.20/hour, and the position is benefit eligible.

    Cafeteria Monitors the District is seeking smiling faces to assist during the lunch time with student management. This is a part-time position with no benefits. This position will work 3 hours a day, and pay is $10/hour.

    Custodian(s)/Night-shift, the District is seeking individuals interested in joining the District to maintain state of the art facilities.  This position works 240 days out of the year with a shift of 1 to 9:30 p.m.  Beginning pay is $11.10/hour, and the position is benefit eligible.

    Food Service Workers, the District is seeking smiling faces to provide healthly meals to the students, staff and visitors to the campuses. Why not try out this position? It offers free breakfast and lunch and a free gym membership (it is like a family get-together everyday from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.)  Beginning pay is $10.20/hour, and the position is benefit eligible.
