Sul Ross State University: M.Ed. Education Leadership Texas State University:B.S. Biology/ Minor Chemistry Certifications: Composite Science, Principalship
After graduating high school, I entered Texas State University on an athletic scholarship. I played football there and achieved a degree in Biology. After graduating, I married my wife, Michelle, who is also a teacher, and I was employed in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry in the capacity of project manager, consultant, and sales manager. I had always had a passion for teaching, and coaching, and after several years decided to enter an alternative certification program to receive a teaching certificate.
I began my career in education in 2004 at Wimberley High School teaching Chemistry, Pre AP Chemistry, and AP Chemistry, and coaching varsity football, basketball, track, and powerlifting. After four years, we had two kids. I went back into my previous career for six years in order to better provide for my family’s needs at the time.
I did not think I would ever be able to return to my passion of teaching, but fortunately that was not the case. In 2014, I returned to Wimberley High School where I now teach Physics, AP Physics I, AP Physics II, and serve as the Senior Class Sponsor/Adviser, Attendance Committee, and UIL Science Coach. We had our third child in February, 2018. I absolutely love what I do and I feel very blessed to serve community of Wimberley.
