The goal of the WISD Transportation Department is to provide safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services for all of our students. Our team is here to help you every step of the way. Whether your student is a first-time bus rider or an experienced rider, our team of professionals aims to assist them.

We are located at 290 Ballpark Road, which is off FM 2325 directly across from the entrance to Wimberley Springs subdivision (Valley View Drive). The bus barn is at the end of the road by the baseball/softball fields.
Shad Scharlach, Director of Transportation
Mr. Scharlach is in his 13th year at WISD and has 26 years of total experience in the education field at many school districts, including as the AEP director at WISD, and assistant principal at Wimberley High School, Danforth Junior High School, Smithville High School, and Llano Junior High. In addition to positions in administration, Mr. Scharlach was a teacher for 13 years as well as a head basketball coach and athletic coordinator. He also founded, owned and operated a successful small business in recreation for 10 years. Scharlach was named the WISD Transportation Director in March 2023.
