Transportation Mission Statement
The Mission of Wimberley ISD Transportation Services is to provide safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services to the students of Wimberley ISD.
Bus Rider Registration
If your student will ride the bus you must fill out a "Bus Rider Registration" form. The bus rider registration form is available online under "Forms". You can also pick up a form at the Transportation Department or at your child's school. This form must be received and approved by the transportation department before a student will be assigned to a bus. This usually takes 3-5 business days to process. Once approved, the student's attending campus will be notified of the bus assignment.
Bus routes will be established during the summer break for the start of next school year. Bus assignment information will be available at your student’s campus on Meet The Teacher Night
Pick Up Time Criteria
We attempt to arrive at every bus stop on time. Due to variances between individual clocks, students are asked to arrive at the bus stop ten minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time. Buses will load students and depart the stop. Regular buses do not wait for late students. Students are expected to proceed immediately to the buses. Bus drivers are instructed not to stop or open the door for late students once the bus begins to move. WISD strongly discourages students from approaching a moving bus.
If you have questions or concerns about Transportation services for your child, please contact the Transportation Department at 512-847-2781.
