Sick Leave Bank

All full-time employees of Wimberley Independent School District (WISD) are offered an opportunity to become a member of the Sick Leave Bank, upon completion of one full year of employment with the District (at the beginning of the next school year).

Upon the completion of one year of full-time employment with the District, the employee will receive a letter indicating that 1 and/or 2 days of state/local days must be donated in order to become a member.

The purpose of the Sick Leave Bank is to award members that realize an illness that is catastrophic in nature, the possibility of having days awarded due to having utilized all of their state/local days.

Upon completion of the form by both the employee and physician, the committee will review each request on a case-by-case basis and award the number of days based on the nature of the catastrophic condition.
