The 2018 Wimberley ISD $45.5 million bond package won resounding approval in the May 5 election. The school district now looks forward to bringing to fruition some important projects aimed at enhancing education in the Wimberley Valley for students and teachers.
Among the projects is a new $85,000-square-foot Primary School at the corner of Winters Mill Parkway and Ranch Road 12. Part of the plan is to repurpose the older campus, including a wing for technology and alternative education. School district leadership is also aiming to bring in adult education opportunities to the old campus. Additionally, the bond includes improvements and new equipment for both the junior high and the high school. Also approved in the bond—a marquee in front of the District offices, new custodial equipment and two initiatives that are important to the local community: ADA compliant sidewalks and Dark Sky Friendly lights at Texan Stadium. We welcome you to take a moment to see our 2018 Bond Presentation for details on all of these projects, along with a glance at WISD.
