Starting in the summer of 2025, WISD held a series of “User Group” meetings that connected staff members most impacted by Bond projects—such as those in performing arts, band, athletics, and campus administration—with architects, designers, and project managers.

These meetings gave staff the opportunity to share needs and design considerations that affect daily life on campus. This insight was essential, providing designers with a clearer understanding of school operations and leading to stronger final designs.

The following entities have been approved to provide services as part of the 2025 Bond Program.

AGCM, Inc. - Project/Program Management Services

O'Connell Robertson & Associates, Inc. - Architecture, Engineering, and Contract Administration Services

Bartlett Cocke - Construction Manager at Risk for Bid Packages 2 and 3.

The WISD Board approved the delivery method for construction services for Bid Package 2 and 3 as "Construction Manager at Risk". (Bid Package 2 is generally renovation projects at Danforth Junior High and the Texan Stadium athletic complex; and Bid Package 3 is generally new construction/additions at Wimberley High School.)

Additionally for Bid Packages 1, 4, 5, and 6, the WISD Board approved the Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) method. These bid packages are for work including: site and pavement projects, baseball/softball complex, roofing and HVAC projects, and multicampus improvements.

As part of the 2025 Bond program, funding was allocated for the purchase of student and staff computers, as well as a new districtwide copy machine fleet, wireless access points, and a new technology infrastructure server. A portion of these purchases was made in June 2025 - in time for the new devices and machines to be operational when school started in August.

During the week of June 23rd, WISD entered into the market to sell the $135,000,000 in Bonds and pursue a small refunding of $16,690,000 in principal.  Despite the approximately $1.3B in other Bonds being offered on the same day, WISD's Bonds received strong interest. The budgeted overall interest rate (True Interest Costs [“TIC”]) at the time the Bond election was called was 4.91% compared to the final TIC of 4.82%.  This saved the District approximately $1.1M in total debt service over 30 years.  Additionally, the District was able to save the taxpayers nearly $600,000 in interest savings with the refunding.

WISD voters approved all four propositions that were a part of the 2025 Bond proposal.
