Degrees and Certifications:
I have served as an assistant principal for Wimberley ISD for the past 13 years. While I am currently in my 28th year in education, I previously had the opportunity to teach in the classroom for 11 years and serve in adminstration for the past 17 years. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Reading and Science. I also received my Master's Degree in Administration from Tarleton State Univeristy. I have been married for 33 years to my best friend, Jeff, who retired from teaching and coaching with WISD. We have 3 sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and a precious 2 year old granddaughter. Two of our sons graduated as Wimberley Texans while the oldest son coached and taught as a Wimberley Texan. Two of our sons and our daughter-in-law also made the decision to become educators as well.
I decided to follow in the footsteps of my grandmother who taught multiple grades in a one-room schoolhouse and my mother who taught Special Education for many years. Teaching has always been what I felt I was supposed to do with my life. I have been blessed to be able to dedicate my life to teaching children and helping teachers continue with their dreams of making a difference in our children's lives.
I am so proud and honored to be a part of the Jacob's Well Elementary School family, who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students, their families, and our communtiy.
