Friday, September 10 Email to Parents:
On Monday, September 13 our WISD COVID Task Force is teaming up with our board-appointed Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) to continue the review of protocols that are in place to combat the presence of COVID-19 in WISD. This combined group, which includes local physicians, physician assistants, and registered nurses, will soon add a Response Levels protocol document to our existing Health & Safety Plan - to further outline and extend WISD's current protocols moving forward in the school year. Once the document is finalized, it will be shared district-wide.Additionally, a new version of the COVID Dashboard will soon be launched. The new dashboard will be updated daily (on school days), and will feature active, resolved, and cumulative case counts. This updated information will provide more timely access to transparent trend data for parents and community members.WISD appreciates the messages of concern and suggestions we have received since school has started. Family support and involvement play an important role in the success of WISD, and we thank you for your feedback. WISD administrators and staff are working tirelessly in many areas to make this school year as successful as possible. The health and safety of our students and staff is paramount as we reach for that success. As was stated above, further information will be shared following the joint Task Force/SHAC meeting.
