Wendy Grogan, Counselor

I am the school counselor for all students 9th – 12th with last names from L-Z. I am also in charge of dual credit, AP, PSAT, and SAT/ACT among other things. This is my 27th year in education. I spent 9 years as an elementary teacher, 10 years as a junior high counselor, and this will be my 8th year as a high school counselor. I loved my years at the junior high level, but high school is really where my heart is. I’m so happy to be working with the students at WHS.

I am the mother of two, both WHS graduates. My son, Braiden, is finishing up his final year at Texas State and my daughter, Bayleigh, is in her 2nd year at The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor where she plays softball. My husband, Jason, also works for the district. We love Wimberley and are so happy to serve the students and families of this community. Please feel free to contact me at any time if I can assist you or your student in any way.

Welcome to Wimberley High School! I am one of the school counselors that will be working with students in 9th - 12th grade with the last names that start with A-K.

I have been with WISD since 2016 and have lived in the charming community of Wimberley since 2009 with my husband, three children, three dogs, and a flock of chickens. I enjoy camping, hiking, gardening, and cooking. On many weekends, I'm often cheering for one of my children at a soccer or football game.

During the last two years, I have taught English 1 and worked with students in Credit Recovery. I look forward to continuing my work with the students at WHS to help them succeed in high school and with their future goals.
